In 2021, Certest Pharma was founded as a strategic expansion of Certest Biotec, marking a pivotal step in our journey to transform the landscape of vaccines and RNA-based therapies. The creation of this new business unit followed the incredible success of Certest Biotec during the COVID-19 pandemic, where we became a leader in the distribution of PCRs and Rapid Tests for virus detection.

Building on this success, we identified a crucial gap in the market for effective drug delivery solutions for RNA therapies. The rapid advancements in lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) inspired us to act. While LNPs were already proving their potential, we recognized the need for further improvements to unlock their full potential in drug delivery. This realization led to our decision to develop and synthesize our own ionizable lipids and create optimized LNP formulations.

Today, thanks to the dedication and hard work of the entire Certest team, we have established a proprietary library of over 1,500 ionizable lipids capable of achieving superior protein expression and targeted delivery to specific organs. In addition, our own thermo-stable LNP formulations, developed through our unique lyophilization method, are setting new standards in the field.

Most recently, we embarked on an exciting new project to enhance targeting capabilities by conjugating peptides to both LNPs and molecules directly. This innovation is expected to open new frontiers in precision medicine.

Finally, Certest Pharma offers a comprehensive RNA and oligonucleotide platform, providing synthesis, development, scaling-up, and evaluation services. This platform is designed to be the one-stop shop for our clients, offering a complete suite of solutions to accelerate the development of RNA-based therapeutics.
